No disrespect to the band - but as a "Toto" fan, this one hits a little close to home....

I don't even know where to begin with this...but here ya go...

I don't really know if its the transition of American humour to British, but I couldn't even force a giggle from that.

Sorry, just don't get it. :?

Funny, I think you are right about British vs. American humor. I don't laugh at anything British, except maybe Benny Hill.

Ah yes, Benny's classic!!

Odd, cos i love all the American sitcoms and all those smut movies with Will Farrell, Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson...etc!

This tho, is just freakin' stupid like its come from the school playground.

about this...

Postby brandonx76 » Fri Oct 14, 2005 2:33 pm

You guys probably have never seen "Mr. Show" (a comedy show from the mid 90's that was broadcast on HBO) - but it's up there in that realm of comedy.....

best part

"Michael McDonald says "No....I hate your band"
Steve Porcaro "whoa whoa whoah...hold the line....we're taking Toto in a whole new direction"

also like

"Jimmy Messina (pronounced for some odd reason 'Moosina'): 'F____ You Loggins....'
Michael McDonald 'The 80's can suck it!'

Now...remember...a "sense of humor" is just a "sense". not an empiracle math equation or an absolute....what's funny to you or me, can and often does, differ....

With regard to the movie...I seriously felt like someone had made a skit specifically with me (or someone like me) in mind....it gets funnier the more I watch it....it's certainly absurd to say the least...I wonder if the guys in the band would find it funny...

Not even close to being funny. The idea had a lot of potential but I didn't even smirk at this.

I like the part where McDonald and the other guy are watching the skit making fun of him, and in the skit he's driving fast during the song "Ride Like the Wind", and he arrives at the mic just in time to sing his miniscule backup vocal.

This is a fucking masterpiece. It draws laughter from making fun of pussies like McDonald, Loggins, Messina, Perry and the fat guy from Toto..

I guess the Brits have a way to go to catch up to North America.
