Blink of an Eye - New Toto Best Of - Support Mike Porcaro

Got some feedback from Luke on an upcoming Best of Toto Japanese and European only release:

"Hey Luke, any idea about this release? http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/detailview.html?KEY=SICP-20284, Hope all is well (that ends well). . . "

Another best of to go with the tour in Japan. ( europe will do this too) Sony OWNS all our Sony years stuff, they asked us and they were gonna do it anyway so I sat with Chuck san at Sony japan, an old friend and we came up an idea that would help Mike Porcaro out too, add some Steve Porcaro tunes and by adding tunes Mike co- wrote it makes him more $ and us too.. and besides the OBVIOUS tunes we added a little more to OUR taste with liner notes from a bunch of the guys from different eras.. fast. We made a better % deal and MUCH better art and package. I came up with the title. 35 years went fast , damn..

Cool. Where'd you ask Luke this? Over on the Network? Wish we got some answers regarding the new dvd. :?

Try his facebook (pretty active over there) - I've heard some cryptic things about the new DVD - one was from Simon during a recent interview last month indicating that he was mixing the show, but felt it wasn't one of their better shows...then from Luke, he mentioned something to the effect at one point that the DVD is still coming out - but won't be what may be expecting...

Hmmm. :? After the auto-tuned job we got with FIB: Live, just how bad can it be?

I don't think it's specifically a vocal issue, based on the pro shot concert that showed up on YouTube, they're definitely sounding better in that department - I think it may be the case that some shows are better than others...hate to speculate tho so hope to hear something official in the not too distant future.

Wasn't trying to imply that Joe had an off-night. Just saying, if the band saw it fit to release "FIB: Live", you'd think this would show up too eventually.

You would think an act like Toto was big enough to get their classic albums remastered. ***edit*** at last....remastered albums coming from Japan...***woohoo!!!!***
