Will be pretty cool to hear Richard Page tackle the lead vox on these songs. That said, Lukather seems to keep re-defining when these songs can and cannot be played. On several occasions, he's played TOTO material outside of the band, which originally he was against. Most recently, during the "Rock meets Classic" tour, and now this. He is a founding member and played on all the albums, but if the shoe were on the other foot, you know he'd be mercilessly and publicly tearing into Bobby or Fergie for pulling something similar. Anything that keeps the music alive is OK by me, but don't tell me that playing TOTO songs with Ringo's glorified Vegas lounge act doesn't cheapen the TOTO brand. C'mon now. Anyone else smell the hypocrisy?
TNC - I like you dude, but this endless seeking of "justice" for BK is getting old.
Ringo's band is hardly a Vegas lounge act. It is an honor to be selected to perform with him.
And why should't Steve perform whatever the hell he likes? At least he sang those tunes originally and wrote them. Bobby sings Toto tracks he had nothing to do with which is alittle odd. And don't you think he was emoved from the band for good reason? And he's never said anything bad about FF, so not sure why mention him.
He's doing his own thing, so that's good and I don't think we need to take shots at Steve for doing his thing. He has toured on his own doing his material so now if the demand for him is there to do Toto tracks in variou sprojects, then good for him!
And he's STILL in Toto touring there also, so I just don't see what the point is here.
