Bobby Response on the Euro Reunion Tour

"Toto is going over to Europe on a mission to help one of the nicest people I know (Mike), and he desperately needs this to happen. I'm so proud of the band for doing this in Mike's time of need. I'm also glad Joseph Williams is going with them to sing, because he's a great friend of mine, and a fantastic singer. At first, when I got several e-mails about the dates in Europe, I was a bit confused about not getting a call or e-mail from the guys in the band, but then I received news of the reason for this short tour. The whole issue here is about Mike, and nothing else needs to be said after you know that. I would love to go over and sing with Toto on these dates, but my schedule is full during these dates, so I'm really happy it's going to happen for Mike's sake. I hope you all go out to see and hear some fantastic music and enjoy the band....especially in Mike's honor.

I called David a couple of days ago, and told him I was very happy they were doing this, and David asked me if I would come out and sing some songs with Toto when they do the major benefit in LA for Mike. It would be an honor for me to sing with the guys again, even if it's only a handful of songs. I love Toto, and they've always been the most fun I've ever had. To me, they're still the best band ever.

Do yourselves a big favor and go out and join the fun that's going to happen when Toto plays these festivals. I hope they make a video of the concerts, because I would like to enjoy it myself. Life is too short to carry the burden of pain and sorrow for any reason...no matter the cause. Please, just remember this is all about helping Mike get through a very dreadful situation, and while you're at it, you can also have a great time with some "first class" musicians playing their hearts out for a friend.

I wish you all the best......................Bobby"

That's definitely a class response from Bobby...didn't know about the LA date - going to have to make that. Anyone know when / where?

Yeah, first news I've heard of the LA date. Doubt i'd have the cash or means to make it out there right now, but I'd at least give it some serious consideration.

Classy, on point and thoroughly impressive. He touched every base. That shout out to everyone was a homerun.

Ah geez...I really hope Im not gigging and can see the LA date. I've never seen the band with Paich or Steve Porcaro, and I very sadly just didn't care enough when Jeff was around. It's funny in 1983 our high school guitar teacher used to tell us we needed to listen to Toto and we though he was a total uncool dork. Ah well, it took me about 17 years to realize he was right.

Yeah, same here....although if all I was familiar with was their 3-4 U.S. radio hits, I wouldn't have gotten into them either. It was the newer stuff and album cuts that hooked me..."Caught In The Balance" was the first Toto track I actively remember hearing and going "holy shit, what the fuck is this?"

they had a few more than that. ;-)

Just a nitpick! :-) They have three really big songs, but enough hits to make a legit GREATEST HITS album. Throw in international hits like STOP LOVING YOU and hits on other charts like GEORGY PORGY and ones that came close like I'll Supply The Love and it's a good full greatest hits.
