Hold The Line (Toto 35th Anniversary Tour - Live In Poland)

Eagle Rock has released this YouTube clip from the live package that is coming out at the end of April.

I very much like what I am seeing here. Everyone here knows how much I love Kimball and was dragging my heels a bit (I said a few dickhead things too) but I found this clip very entertaining. Williams very much makes this tune his own, and at the end - check out his interaction with that lady he's sing the duet with and the audience. He's actually being quite funny!

The band sounds SO good.

I'm so going to get this. I'm just pissed off that I've still got to wait so long. I WANT IT NOW DAMMIT!!!

Can only see the CD, DVD and Blu Ray available for pre-order on Amazon. I want the deluxe package which has all three and the 60 page booklet but for some reason that isn't listed yet. Oh well, maybe closer to the time...

Speaking as a big Bobby fan, your devotion to Mr. Kimball scares me a little bit. For me, TOTO has always been Bobby and Joe. There's a reason why they toured w/ both singers for TOTO XX. At that time, Bobby was the better option. Right now, Joe is the better option. Who's next up to bat? I say Jeff Scott Soto!

Please not JSS! I never understood why he was such a huge thing on here. Not that he's a bad singer, but for Toto? No, thank you!

Scares you? Really? Little old me?

Yeah, I suppose it got a little silly at one stage. It's just to me he "IS" the voice - he is the guy who sang on the stuff I like most from the band. Also (and I hope he doesn't mind me saying this) he and I have sort of become friends over the years and he has been extremely kind to me.

But having said that - I AM very impressed at what I'm seeing with Williams. He brings his own vibe and has his own thing going on. I was never particularly fond of the two albums he did with them back in the day - but since they are not going for that kind of thing again - I'm excited to see what they come up with in Spring 2015. No matter what I'm still going to go see them and I'm still going to get that album. With KNOBS on! :D

And the thing is, Lukather, Paich and Porcaro are all still there. They are just as much Toto as anyone else. And Mr Lukather has also been extremely kind to me (although I couldn't get a definitive answer out of him as to what the direction of the album is going to be dammit!).

Whatever problems I had I am over them. The way I see it - I can go see TWO kickass concerts where I'll hear some classic Toto tunes! :D
