David Paich

OK time to stir up some shit. After reading Reggie's, excellent as always, review of the San Juan show. I have to wonder what the hell is up with David Paich? On the sidelines? Wazupwitdat? Is he in the band? Out of the band? Demoted to cheerleader? (sex change hoax referance, sorry bout that). I read an interview with Bobby Kimball somewhere on the net that said Toto had two keyboard players now? So what's up with Dave? Anyone know? I'm going to see them in May at BB Kings in NYC and I'd be kind of bummed if Paich wasn't performing. I hope he's on the new album as well. I guess I'm under the impression that he is weeding himself out. I hope that's not true.

Think Paich is Still In???????

They keep switching back between one & two keyboard players. Greg Phillinganes is an AMAZING player but it just isn't quite the same. Not bad AT ALL but just not THE SAME. Paich seemed to still be part of the band but he just took that particular night off. So my guess is he'll be around for awhile. Thanks for the nice words on the reviews.

I recently read an interview with Lukather, and he stated that Paich was still 100% a part of the band but that he would be doing little if any touring due to some family issues that require him to stay close to home.

I saw them Sunday night, awesome as usual. Luke said Paich was kind of retired from touring. I have no problem with that. Good for him. Maybe they should take his name off all the posters, flyers and promo stuff. I hate when bands/promoters pull that shit. Ahh maybe it's no big deal. Anyway they were awesome. It was good to hear some songs off Seventh One. Good For You was cool too. Little Wing ahh it was all good. They should have cut the keyboard & drum solos because they were pressed for time and it could've been a few more songs. I hope someday they will do a good two and half hour show in NYC instead of two separate shows. I saw the first show, couldn't stay for the second. It definitely wasn't enough.
