Luke's Book?

Postby PianoMan1986 » Mon Apr 25, 2011 2:40 pm

I remember a while back Luke discussed putting together a book, which I was really interested in reading just for how much music he's been a part of. What became of this?

Same as the imaginary 30th Anniversary Tour that was never meant to happen. Absolutely nothing.

I didn't think it was supposed to be out this early.

I'm glad the book never happened. The book would mostly just be Luke trashing people. No thanks, I've read enough of that immature garbage in Luke's interviews throughout the years.

I disagree, he seems in a better place now, as far as that kind of stuff goes. All the interviews I've read with him lately (and his twitter stream), despite the shit going on in his personal life, seem to indicate he's grown up quite a bit, as far as that goes. I guess (sober) parenthood can do that..

I still hope a book materializes at some point...his insights on music and recording a lot of these tracks would be really interesting reading for other musicians, I think. The first half of Keith Richards' book is mostly him just talking about all the music he loves and how it inspired the Stones...if Luke did a book focused on his passion for music, I think it'd be a great read.
