Toto Sursee, Switzerland 4 Aug 2012 (Magic Night of Rock)

I was at the Magic Night of Rock yesterday and thought I'd write a bit about it.

First of all I should say, I went for one reason and one reason only, Toto. I didn't care for the other 3 bands (Pretty Maids, Magnum and Saxon) and therefore I didn't watch them. I've heard from other people, that These bands make a strange mix and nothing was more obvious at the Show. Since Toto came on last, almost the entire audience changed before Toto. While before basically everybody wore black and was clearly a "rocker", during Toto, the audience was colorful and looked like a gathering of random people from the street. This was my first time seeing Toto (my favourite band) and I was amazed. Joseph sounded almost perfect, with a few mistakes now and then. The band was not almost perfect, it was perfect. Steve Lukather was delivering top notch vocals and perfect guitar playing. But there is one person that stood out, David Paich. He sang like that was his main occupation and played with the crowd, it was just awesome.

For me this was even better than I expected. The setlist (see below) was phenomenal and the sound was good as well. My father loved it as well. I dragged him along since my friends don't really like Toto (I'm 22 years old). God, they're missing out on something ;)

Here's the setlist:

Only the Children
Hydra
St. George and the Dragon
Rosanna
Could this be Love
Pamela
Manuela Run
How many Times
Carmen
Stop loving You
Hold the Line
------------------
Africa
Home of the Brave

If you would like to ask anything else I might know, go ahead. And please excuse my bad english since I'm (obviousely) swiss.
