I love how he bitches about all of the soloing. You have some of the greatest living session players on the planet on one stage - and you don't want to hear their solos? That's like saying "I was at the Jimi Hendrix show, it was ok, except for all of his boring soloing..."

I actually really like Neil McCormick's writing (he wrote a fantastic book about growing up in Ireland being childhood friends with Bono that's one of the best books ever written about not making it in the music business), but knowing what I know about his musical tastes, he's not really the best person to review a band like Toto.

Ohhh, I see...music critics...Is there really any need for them any more? I mean if you follow or are a fan of Toto you're following a legacy , and a bit niche act at this point.

I guess Toto will still 'get there's, for as long as they're around, from the press that still loves to hate them or thinks they only wrote one good song (Africa).

FACT: There's always one asshole out there!

FACT: 10,000 people buy tickets to see an artist perform. They're music critics in their own right. They're giving their hard earned money to the artist and most often than not, is a glorious experience of time spent.

FACT: There's an old saying "Opinions are like assholes; some are bigger than others..."

I was there that night, and so was my 9 year old daughter. And I can put my hand on my heart and categorically tell you that there was not ONE person in that room who wasn't going MENTAL from the second the gig began right up until before Africa was performed.

That room was full of TOTO FANS. They didn't show up just to hear Africa, they showed up to hear EVERYTHING that the guys played.

I don't know who this "critic" is but he's full of shit.
