I have A problem....anyone got any ideas ?

Postby DarrenUK » Mon Aug 08, 2005 7:31 am

I have around 20+ 4 hour video tapes of live concerts from Styx and others but I cant play them on the American system as I have PAL tapes......does anyone know how they can be transfered ??????

These Video's cost me $35 - $40 each and I am loathe to throw them away....

I have looked into purchasing a VHS that plays UK tapes but to no avail...Ive tried Walmart, Target, Best Buys etc......

I need to buy a player or find someone in business who can transfer them...

Suggestions please.

Thanks

Well,in my hood there are several stores that transfer from whatever to whatever. But I live in a city with 2-3 million people.I know you are moving to Florida, there's gotta be somebody in a larger city who can help you with that.I got stuff from Europe that I had to get transferred and it set me back about approximately 12 $ US.per job.
Good luck.

Darren. I just typed in PAL VHS tape conversion on Google and came up with a number of companies that do these transfers.

Depends, I am sure, upon the cost of doing such but I would think tape to tape transfer might not be terribly expensive.

Good luck!
