Postby StyxWIzard13 » Fri Aug 26, 2005 9:06 am

i saw the 2 concerts 1 at cape cod and the other in gilford nh. and........ i think they were really good. tommy shaw looked way different, he looks older. larry doesnt really cus he just has a different hair cut and jy looks the same. i never really saw the drummer b4 so i dunno bout him.

i thot the band people were nice too they gave me guitar pics, and lawrence gowan almost gave me a picture!! but 2 stupid ladies came in front of me and used the last to pics he had left :( o well those ladies r stupid.lol.

but i think when lawrence gowan did "i dont need no doctor" he was crazy!!!!!!! he was like a total maniac cus he was like shaking and dancing and jumpin around! jeez i think he was drunk!! LOL! jk.hahhaa. well that was very....entertaining.....!!! and then um the music was really loud, but like duhhhhh

thats it i guess i dont feel like typin anymore!!!!!

I thought Dennis actually "won" the little poll way back when, right?

Danielle, I'm glad that you enjoyed the concert. Hope you weren't too close to the speakers, bad for the ears!! I have to wear earplugs when I go to the heavy metal concerts because of all the damage. I think all the Iron Maiden & Metallica concerts did that to my hearing years ago.

I took my 9 year old son to see Dennis a few weeks ago and he really enjoyed the concert too.

The poll was slightly different, and Gowan "won". Neither poll is accurate.

Danielle, I'm glad you enjoyed the concert, and even happier your father got to share it with you. I think it's great that you got the picks. The band has always been nice that way.

I appreciate your enthusiasm and I hope you can enjoy the band for a long time. Many of us have enjoyed the band far longer than you've been alive. And many of us prefer the lineup(s) that included DDY. We try to respect that others like Gowan more, and hopefully you can respect that some people like Dennis more. It doesn't make either one better than the other. Just means that the band has enough diversity to satisfy everyone.

I saw Styx not long ago in Tacoma, WA and Larry had an afro wig on while perfoming "I Dont' Need No Doctor" during the encore.

Overall I thought the show in Tacoma was pretty good. I know some will disagree but I think Larry does a much better job performing the song "The Grand Illusion" in concert than Dennis DeYoung. Just my opinion on that one.
