OT Great choices on Wedding songs ty all But I need more lol

Postby LeesaFL » Thu Sep 29, 2005 4:56 pm

Hi everyone-
WEll I just finished listening to the songs everyone suggested and firstly as a wedding photographer I have made a copy of most of them to offer to my brides if they are wondering which songs to use.

"Longer" Dan Fogelberg is different but very appropriate and a beautiful sound
"If" Bread is really nice too liked both of these

"Unforgettable" classic my dad would love this

"With Your Love" Journey couldn't find the song :( Darren likes it though

"Colour My World" nice smooth sound, sexy too, short and sweet  goes great w/Darren and I excuse me while I go ask him to dance  (Love this)
ok classic you have some great taste in music
I was shocked at the Alice Cooper song, I thought he was heavy, I loveee "You and Me"

"Dance with my father again" Luther Vandross....really nice however it reminded me more of my real dad than my step dad, and he passed away so I got upset listening.

The one I have not heard before was beautiful and I cried listening to it..so beautiful and perfect in my opinion...
"When God Made You" by Natalie Grant/new song wow what a song! u must listen if you haven't already.

Beginnings" by Chicago...great tempo and happy beat

"Move Me" by Nazareth ummmm sexxxxxy to dance to  bluesy too
I didn't realize how many good songs Nazareth did..one of their better ones..."Fooled around and fell in love"
and of course the traditional ones....

K so we have chosen....

first dance..Your all I ever needed-Bobby Kimball/Toto/When God Made You-Natalie Grant

Father Daughter dance- Unforgettable-Nat/Natalie Cole or
A moment like this-Kelly Clarkson (still undecided)

My Song to Darren...."From This Moment On" Shania Twain

Darrens song to me..."Lady" Kenny Rogers(very special to his mum too)

Darren sister song.."What a wonderful world" Louis Armstrong(LOVE THIS)

Last Dance.."Someday" (We'll Meet Again) Glen Burtnick awesome in my opinion and so "us"

thanks all for suggestions but if you can pull any more out for Father/daughter I'd appreciate it!!

~Leesa~

i couldn't find..in my life by Judy Collins found the beatles version

Toasting you two with a MAGNUM!!!

Be sure the DJ has the Chicken Dance and the Macarena in his arsenal, LOL! When everyone gets enough champagne (or other, :P!!) in them, those two are just a WHOLE lotta fun on the dance floor!!

It all sounds very wonderful for the both of you.

And of course the Bunny Hop. Must have that one too

For eclectic tastes you could add Through the Years by Kenny Rogers

At Last...I really like this song

For our wedding, Mr. Sadie asked for China Grove as last song...simply because he wanted to end the evening with something a bit rockin.

Sharing a toast with Bugsy for you two.

Do you know I had 4 songs I realllllly wanted to dance my first dance to, well I'm seeing my DJ tomorrow because I am still keeping Shania Twain/Bryan Adams...From This Moment On..but I'm adding a bit to the end using Bon Jovi's "Thank You For Loving Me"
It wouldn't be weird to do this would it? lol
