I´m not saying my suggestion works with every band. In a band which have one strong leading figure it´s more difficult to accept non-original line-up. For example Thin Lizzy touring without Phil Lynott feels like blasphemy because everyone feels like Phil Lynott was Thin Lizzy. But in a case like Molly Hatchet when the original Hatchet didnt have such a leader whose replacing would create great opposing, non-original line-up worked just fine. And they managed to release albums that maybe were not as good as the best stuff originals recorded but were better than worst stuff originals recorded.bugsymalone wrote:Well then. Problem solved. A band NEVER has to stop touring. All they need is new infusion of members and off they go....to infinity and beyond!
So -- Styx, Journey, Kansas, Rolling Stones, EVERYONE! Get off the road you guys! Plug in all new members under your name, hang on to a bit of the profits from the tour, and, apparently, fans will buy your music and go to your concerts no matter WHO is in the group!
What a concept!!!Why didn't I think of that???
