Hey Jimmy and Suite,

I attended the 1st World Series of Rock in 1981....I believe The Michael Stanley Band was on the bill too.....

Good Ole County Stadium in Milwaukee....may it rest in peace.

I saw Simon & Garfunkel, Pink Floyd, and Paul McCartney there too......

Cool Classic! You got to see S&G. I've seen them each solo but never together. They were ALOT more expensive when they came back around a few years ago! Michael Stanley. That was the year of his big(and only) hit. He Can't Love You Like I Love You. He's from Cleveland.
I don't smoke either, Suite. Never have. Yes, Huey Lewis & the News I've seen many times. My friend Ed is their biggest fan. They're always very good. I haven't seen them since Chris Hayes left a few years ago. But I know the new guy Stef Burns is fantastic. He used to play with Pablo Cruise and others. Ed gives him his sign of approval.
The Kinks were alot better in the 90s. I even saw a Dave Davies solo show down the street from where I live in 1999 that was a much better more varied show than the one that day in '82. That was a temp period when they were in stadiums and felt pressured(no doubt) to be more rocking so they could "reach the back seats".

I saw the Kinks sometime in the early 80's at an indoor venue......couldnt have been more than 4,000 people there. I recall it was a good , but not a great show, but then I am not a huge Kinks fan either, so my perspective probably is a bit subjective.

I went to ALOT of shows back then.......now, I prefer buying the DVD's and staying home.....getting cheap in my old age I guess.

Yea Classic I was at Mccartney it rained most of the show
I never saw a concent in the pouring rain
Paul was great soaking wet,
