I love the set lists- looking foward to hearing such lost treasures like Stiletto and Zanzibar, which seem to be permanently in the set! Also looking forward to Ballad of BTK, Scenes, Miami 2017, Goodnight Saigon, would love to hear Vienna! too many great songs to choose from!

This was on Mark Rivera's Site. Billy's long time sax player.

January 20, 2006 Boston

January 20, 2006 Five shows, five set lists. To say the least it’s been a BLAST!!! The band is tighter then ever and Billy is singing like he’s in his twenties. We’ve had nothing but awesome reviews but more importantly the crowds have been on their feet rockin’ all night long. A curve ball that Billy called at sound check yesterday was “Always a Woman” Hey, Richie and I didn’t even have our flutes with us. So Billy said OK rent them. So they did and we did the song. To our surprise the entire audience sang every word. Good call Billy. The next stop will be Madison Square Garden. Can you dig this “Historic Run” as their calling it. Well it’s true. I couldn’t be more proud of the fact that I’ll be back in the stage of MSG with this Band.

Wish he'd left in Laura, Where's the Orchestra and She's Right On Time. Hope our show has those plus All For Leyna, Everybody Loves You Now, Zanzibar and Stiletto. I'd love to see Rosalinda's Eyes make it in too!

And thanks from me too. Interesting to see the break down. I was hoping he wasn't going to be completely back to just the hits by the time he got to us. It is an "album tracks" tour after all.
Of course most the casual fans want hits but it can get a bit dangerous(not to mention BORING!) when the artist lets the majority of the audience dictate what's played.

Feels so sad to say it but I have yet to see Billy Joel
in concert.I am a huge Elton fan and have seen him
but not Billy.I have a cousin who loves Billy Joel and
we always say how great a show they would give.
Anyone here recall Elton John's album "Empty Sky".
Some really great songs with a real different sound
to em.

I've seen Elton many times myself but have only seen Billy Joel once. I wanted to see them together but never was able to make those shows.
I've always enjoyed Empty Sky too. That was Elton's very first album. Alot more laid back and spare production by Steve Brown(the man who suggested Elton & Bernie Taupin stop writing what they thought people wanted to hear and be themselves) before the lusher Gus Dudgeon productions of the second album on.
