DR. RIGHTOUS LIVES!!!

Dennis Deyoung was brilliant beyond his years with his Kilroy concept. Disliked the music on the album, but the concept of sensorship and spying were brilliant.

Case in point... Where I work has installed a type of spyware so they know where everyone travels on the internet. It is a good idea, and I have no trouble with it.... until..............................

About two months ago they stopped letting people go to music sites. I knew one of the computer techs here and he got me where I could visit this site, along with Styxworld, Glen Burtnik. com,& Dennis Deyoung.com.

Well over spring break this is the only site to survive the new spyware. Rumor has it my tech buddy is no more here and I may lose contact with most of you since we do NOT have the internet at my house.

If you see that I am no longer posting here you know why. If some of you could somehow keep me informed on DDY concerts, Glen concerts, or Styx concerts in the San Antonio/ Houston/ Dallas/ St. Paul, Minneapolis area I would GREATLY appreciate it!!

P.M. me if I can still get here or give me a call at home. Some of you know my phone #.

Thankyou,

Jonathan 'Kilroy'"Yogi" Chance

I think it's more of a productivity thing rather than them wanting to censor you.

Music hurts productivity??

I can go to amazon.com, Ebay, etc but ANY type of music sets off the spyware.

About 3 weeks ago I could not even get on a minor league baseball site to follow one of my ex players at spring training.

I know when it is time to work. Hell, thats all I do. To escape for 30 minutes to a hour a day into a harmless passion should be allowed.

DDY sure saw this coming, even if the internet was an embryo back in 1983/84.

Yeah, I know the feeling, yogi. It sucks. Once upon a time at the places I worked I could get on the Net and pretty much go anywhere I wanted to when I had the time. Unfortunately, alot of people abused the privilege and would go to sites they weren't supposed to. As if that weren't bad enough, they'd SEND stuff from these sites to co-workers and others to joke and mess around with them. And all the crappy spams in e-mails carrying worms, and sometimes viruses, only made things worse. Of course this now results in companies justifying the installation of spywares and other things to monitor everyone everywhere. In fact, we're probably not all that far away from having cameras installed in rest rooms. My last job blocked all personal e-mail accounts and all company e-mail accounts were monitored at all times. In fact, alot of management positions have devolved to the point where they are like babysitters at a daycare center watching to make sure you don't do this or that.....Pretty sad! Remember when all this was only SCIENCE FICTION, like in Orwell's 1984 or Styx' Kilroy? I'll bet no one ever thought it would all come true one day.
Most local libraries have computers if you don't have one at home. That way you could still pop in to see us from time to time

Yogi, I hope you get to at least sneak into MR a time or two!

It does not surprise me that they are putting the clamps down on internet usage where you work. It is becoming quite the norm in schools and businesses nowadays everywhere. And with e-mail too, I know.

As to your not having any internet at home, I fully understand! For reasons different from you, I used to want nothing to do with a computer when I got home from work after being on one nearly all day long for one reason or another at my job.

Bugsy
Change your hairdo. Change your name.
Congratulations! You're still the same.
