They have got TONS of work to do on the offensive side of the ball.

I watched until the 3rd quarter. Imagine my surprise this morning. At least Grossman admitted he played like crap.

It was ugly.

I think Philly, Dallas & Seattle( once Alexander gets back ) are about a half step behind them in the NFC. Also watch out for the Giants. Minnesota is about 2 to 3 steps behind. Their D is also excellent, but their O sucks and wont get better this year.

I have not a clue who will come out of the AFC, but you have got to keep your eye on New England.

They would have a better chance of winning the Super Bowl with Bob Griese at QB.

Even though he's 60 and legally blind he is better than his son.

I watched some of this game off and on and thought, uh-oh, da Bearz are gonna loze.

I tuned in after the Colbert Report and I don't know what surprised me more, the total, ignominious collapse of Arizona or the fact that the Bears pulled this one out of their butts and are still undefeated.

I think this game will focus the Bears a lot. They all need a scare like the from time-to-time, I suppose. :roll:

All of you with winning teams, enjoy the rest of the season. Houston's was over, oh, by the 2nd quarter of the first game they played.

I gotta agree with the initial post. Brian Griese will unseat Rex Grossman by the end of the year. Rex is not that good of a QB and Brian Griese has been there before - he won a national championship with Michigan.

When did Michigan win a National Championship?

Maybe Griese led Michigan to a Little Brown Jug Title over Minnesota. As for a National Championship.... Try Again..

I am a Vikings fan and do not like the Bears.

The Vikings ONLY chance to go further than the Bears in the playoffs( if they make the playoffs at all) is if Lovey puts Griese in at QB. If that happens their offenses are NOW equal. I will take my chances with Childress's intelligence over Smiths, and the two D's are a wash.

With Grossman at the helm, the Bears are a good bet to reach the Super Bowl. He may be inconsistent at times( youth, poor play calling & bad reads associated with his youth), still he possesses ten times the skills of Griese. With Brian Griese at QB the ABSOLUTE best the Bears will do is a round 2 defeat in the NFC Playoffs. That means a game one playoff knockoff for them because they surely will get a round 1 bye.

There is a reason he's(Griese ) # 2 with the Bears, and he is a number 2,3 or scout team type QB on EVERY other NFL team. Its not personal, its fact!!!

I only hope they(Chicago) panics and inserts him at QB. Then if Minnesota somehow reaches the playoffs they have a chance to go further than Chicago.

As a huge Michigan fan, that post is indeed true. Brian Griese led Michigan to a Rose Bowl win over Washington State to go 12-0 and win then National Championship in Jan 1998.

If they won an outright national title back in 1998 please forgive me because I dont remember that.

Maybe 1997- they mayhave spit with Nebraska, but I believe Nebraska was 13-0 & won the Orange Bowl that year.????

1998- I thought it was Tennesse that won the national championship.

I thought the only Big Ten Team to win one ( outright) in eons was Ohio State (2002).

At best they may have split a title. If I am wrong sorry.

His Little Brow Jug Trophy is more impressive to me.
