Book "Spoiler" Posts?

Postby cinj » Thu Mar 22, 2007 10:33 am

O.K., so I'm reading that some of you lucky wascals have already received Sterling's book. I will be ordering mine as soon as I get some available cash (probably mid-April).

I'm sure once the book gets circulated, we'll be posting and commenting on much of the juicy details we uncover in the pages.

What I'm proposing is, if you talk about the book in the posts, can we put something like BOOK-SPOILER in the post? That way some of us can wait until we get our greedy little hands on the thing and can enjoy the excitement of discovering some of the stuff for the FIRST TIME (pun not intended).

What does everyone think?

I just received mine today and will be digging into later. Agree on adding the BOOK-SPOILER to any posts.

I can say after reading a few chapters that this story was long overdue for being published. I'm sure after Chuck's book is out, Dennis, Tommy and probably JY will all be writing their own stories. Sterlings book will probably turn out to be the closest to reality.

Thanks! I'm really gratified so far by the reaction I've been getting. It's pretty hard to thread your way between so many different perspectives and be fair to everyone, yet still honest about people's strengths and weaknesses, which is what I tried very hard to do.

I'm really looking forward to Chuck's book, and I'm sure parts of it will recall the same stories, but in a different way. The same would be true of Tommy, Dennis, or JY if they wrote books, and that's part of what is so interesting to me as a writer, is seeing how differently people can see the same issues. That was the real challenge of writing this book as well as the real fun of editing it all together.

Thanks again, I hope all is well.
