Unreleased Tommy Shaw Interview on StyxCollector.com

Postby StyxCollector » Tue Apr 03, 2007 1:57 pm

Yes it's true! I'm slowly starting to update content on the site again. The Shaw Blades reviews (concert & CD) are coming, but I just uploaded Sterling Whitaker's complete interview from 1993. He used parts of this in the book The Grand Delusion.

Enjoy!

Thanks Allan!

The most interesting thing for me about this interview with Tommy is how it is somewhat different from the way he subsequently portrayed Styx history in Behind The Music or in other interviews post-1999. It's not nearly so anti-Dennis, and it's also surprisingly hard on JY in some places, which I did not expect at the time. Tommy had decided NEVER to play with Styx again, something he makes clear in the interview, and he was in a place where he could speak openly about the true history of the band. It's a pretty interesting interview with him, one that I really enjoyed doing.

Thanks for posting that, Allan.

Great interview.
NO. He's NOT Steve F'ing Perry. But he's Arnel F'ing Pineda and I'm okay with that.
