Sorry....didn't mean to intrude on your forum.

I mean, I don't have the post count most have. Is that a criteria for inclusion into the cool clique?

And I don't appreciate being told to post to an existing thread before starting a new one.....I'm not 16.

I'm a Styx fam, I joined these boards to chat about Styx, and Journey.....obviously, one would be a fool to stay one forum up from this one.

So I'm here.....

Any more rules that people feel obligated to mention?

It's ok man - you're not the first and you won't be the last. Don't get ticked at the initiations around here. We're not too cruel. Just be light hearted and have a sense of humor and you'll be ok. Otherwise.... well you'll likely have a heart attack and die fast :)

There are no rules - really. I was going to say "Just don't be annoying"... but then most of us would be in violation.

So welcome to the club.

I'm sorry for my tone, Ash....I just get a bit irked with responses on these boards when one first posts.

I posted first on the Journey board, and got a less than stellar welcome.

The egos up there are classic, as you may well imagine.

Everybody likes to boast about being 'in the know'......

And if you have less than a few hundred posts, you aren't taken seriously.

I just visit for info, and SOME chat.....

And god forbid you mention something that was already bandied about.....I'm still checking for my head.

Now. Wow, I can't believe DDY isn't in the band anymore. When did this happen? And why?

DDY was kicked out of Styx in 1999 shortly after the release of Brave New World when Tommy Shaw and James Young decided they didn't want to wait for Dennis to recover from an illness he contracted shortly after his Nashville production of The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

Welcome from here, too.

I think some of us who have been here awhile sort of sigh and  when topics that have been hashed and rehashed are brought up yet again.

By the same token, it is sometimes a chore to weed back through several years' worth of posts in order to see what has been discussed.

And there are a few of us who would just as soon see some topics buried for good.

Bugsy

Congratulations! You're still the same.

Yo Methodist,

There are no threads here just Assembly Lines.

When I get bored I like to go slumming over to the Journey board.

Finally, post away none of us here know shit.

My god we have this one poster(child) (Froy) who has been trying to lobby Dennis back in the band since before Tommy's 4th,5th & 6th wife.

Again NONE of us know shit, but we like to think we do.

Ive got an idea for you start a new Assembly Line comparing Styx to The San Antonio Spurs. It was a great idea when I dreamed it up two nights ago. But my thought process has lost its way.

Welcome NEWBIE!!!!!

Hey there.....I would assume your reply was full of 'inside jokes'.

As for TJF, I won't go there again. That place is just sad. I mean, I was upset when DDY 'left', but i didn't trash my parent's basement over it....

And I promise not to start topics like:

'If you were a cartoon character, what would your name be?'
'What is your favorite track 3?'
'I saw a Ford Commercial, and heard 'Light Up!'
'I heard DDY auditioned for the vacant Journey position'

Ash,

You need to bring back the avatar that said:

"Arguing on the internet is like running in the Special Olympics-
even if you win, you're still retarded."

Not that there's anything wrong with that.... :D

I tell you what.

I promise to give it about 30 seconds consideration next time I'm in the bathroom if you would do me the pleasure of removing that homo-erotic avatar you're currently sporting. That looks like cover art for the next richard simmons exercise video.

Is that any better? Just curious why you put 'ponder in the bathroom' so close to 'homo-erotic imagery'? :D
