Totally honest opinion. Just don't like those songs as Styx songs. Not Dead Yet may be fine lyrically but does nothing for me musically. Basic stuff. Paradise was much better I thought on Hunchback, where it fit.

Cool topic

The only one where I REALLY disagree with Groleful is "Lonely People" from Paradise Theater - it, in my view, absolutely belongs. The one song I'd leave off Paradise Theater is "She Cares."

Kilroy Was Here? I'd leave off Don't Let It End. Actually, I'd like to forget the entire album. But that's just me.

BNW? I'd leave off "Fallen Angel," "Just Fell In" and "Everything is Cool."

Cyclorama? Fields of the Brave, Captain America, Killing the Thing That You Loved, should all go.

Big Bang Theory - IMHO, never should have been made.
Can't we all just get along?

Good thread.

Let's see, I know I will be slammed for a lot of these choices, but that's part of what makes things so interesting around here.

Styx:
Everything except for the suite at the beginning, and "What Has Come Between Us?". I could possibly see keeping "Quick Is The Beat Of My Heart".

Styx II: "I'm Gonna Make You Feel It" and "Earl Of Roseland"...

Serpent: All but "Witch Wolf", "Young Man", and "22 Years". I kinda enjoy (gulp)"Plexiglass Toilet", it seems to showcase the fact that the guys could clown around with one another at one point in time.

Miracles: All except for "Southern Woman", "A Song For Suzanne", and.. (gulp again) "Lies" can go.

Equinox: "Lonely Child".. Depending on the day, I could honestly take or leave "Light Up"..

Crystal Ball: I have mixed feelings about serveral of these, but I will say that "This Old Man" could go for sure. Next in line would probably be "Shooz". "Put Me On" somewhat depends on the day.

TGI: "Superstars"..

POE: "Great White Hope".. I'll be honest and take a chance and say that "I'm Okay" possibly should have been left off. I like the meaning behind the song, but it's presented in such a dorky, over the top production. "I'm feelin' good about myself and that's for sure"..

Cornerstone: "Eddie", "First Time", "Boat On The River", and possibly even "Why Me".

PT: I don't think anything could go, but if I had to pick one, I guess it would be "She Cares".

KWH:"Cold War", "High Time"; possibly "Don't Let It End" or even "Heavy Metal Poisoning"(though it does play a part in telling the story).

EOTC: All except for "Show Me The Way", "Love At First Sight", "Love Is The Ritual", and "Not Dead Yet". I'm sorry, but trying to turn these guys into hair metal lite wasn't the way to go.

Brave New World: "Best New Face", "What Have They Done To You?", "Hip-Hop", "Great Expectatons"(I'm a little torn on this one), and possibly even.. "Everything Is Cool".

Cyclo: "Fields Of The Brave", either "Yes, I Can" or "Together", one has got to go.. "Captain America".

I disagree with most of your choices, but you reminded me of this one! I agree. Never liked that song.

And also..."Lorelei." Sorry, always hated it.

All of Cyclorama except KYAG
Homewrecker
All of Kilory except Roboto, Don't let it end, HMP, HWBHB

Most of the rest of the albums let stand as is, good songs and bad. Maybe in the Wooden Nickle days, combine the best of the first couple.

It's funny how it seems everybody has different tastes when it comes to Styx, more so than any other band, most be the three styles I guess. I can't stand Shooz, but some folks like it. I like Homewrecker, others can't stand it. Go figure. On edge the only one i don't care for is World Tonite, that album is a damn good album, especially side one.
