I don't think the band would have created a commercial that featured songs that they weren't going to play in the show that's being advertised, LOL.

Actually, I would expect Stynx to do such a thing. It's just another way for them to live off DDY's contributions by using false advertising to lure unsuspecting fans into a show, only to be greeted by some Scottish goofball on 'vocals' and virtually none of the DDY-penned catalog.

But you DO get JY bellowing Miss America for the 10,000th time...

You realize that in the current Styx show, you only get 3 out of their 9 biggest hits.... Good thing that they are touring with leppard, etc. because the average fan would be pissed if they only got 3 of their biggest hits...

Which three hits do you mean, rajah2165? Cause we got "Lady" in Marshfield and it sounded
pretty damn good! Even with the Canadian singer!

As far as bad promotion, check out this page about Chuck doing a book signing in St.Paul next week.

What's more, after almost four decades together, Styx is still touring and thrilling sold-out crowds.

Maybe it's the close proximity of those five words. I don't think it's intentionally disingenuous, but certainly could give certain folks one more pointless thing to carp about.

Well, this week it's been fixed - sort of. The ad now says simply "Styx", and the photo has been changed as well . . . TO A PICTURE OF A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT GROUP! It's not even Styx! I don't even know who the fuck it is, LOL. Which brings me back to my original question:

WHO IN THE WORLD HANDLES THE ADVERTISING FOR THIS GROUP?!!! And why is it not being done way, way, way better? I just don't understand.

I am happy to report that this week, the ad has been fixed. It now just says "Styx" in big letters, with no picture at all. Not exactly the most exciting ad ever, but at least it's right, LOL.

I hope all is well.

I'm sorry. I must have looked at it wrong or something. I thought it was the wrong picture.
Must have been too early for me.

I'm absolutely going to the book signing though! :D
