OT:Do you buy MP3's and where?

Postby gr8dane » Sat Sep 22, 2007 6:03 am

So far I have used I-Tunes for my MP3 needs.
They are great but only really have a fraction of what I am looking for.
I google certain albums and some interesting sites are popping up,where indeed they have what I would love,,,BUT.
Any of you folks used www.mp3fiesta.com or www.mp3stor.com ? (legit?)
Who do you use,or do you have any recommandations for a legit site for 70'es prog, rock, jazz rock, psycedelia.(Out of print stuff on cd)
Thanx
Jesus loves you ,but everybody else thinks you're a knob.

I have been frustrated by not being able to find things on iTunes and on Napster. But I have not found any better places myself.

Good luck. :?

I love progressive rock, but not all of it. My list is so eclectic, no way I could even begin. I really need to shut up because I have a huge music collection and no time to listen to all that I have as it is, LOL!

Has anyone given Rhapsody a shot? The catch with that one is, you have to pay a monthly fee ($9.99 per month). The advantage is that you can actually stream the music and listen on your PC (even record from streaming rather than downloading - not a bad option if you have the software to do so).

I'm guessing the selection is probably about the same. There is a lot of diverse stuff that I've never heard of on Rhapsody. Of course, some of the popular bands that aren't on I-Tunes (Bealtes, Led Zeppelin for example), I'm guessing you won't find on any legal site.

Also, not all of the stuff that you can stream on Rhapsody is also available for download.

I've been using Rhapsody for over 4 years and it's well worth the fee for me. Of course, everyone has their tastes. Our computer is close to our dining room, so it's always nice to "stream" something we've never heard while my wife and myself are eating dinner.

Good Luck!

Is puretracks.com available in the US? Works here in the Great North.
