It. Was. A. Joke. And a throwaway joke, at that. Be offended by the joke or not, but it takes a special combination of hubris and paranoia to read that piece and believe that it has "apparently been put up to discredit [DDY's] integrity and good name!"

How would you like that being said about your greatest work when it was completely false?

In a context that harmless? I wouldn't really care. But even if it was something that I did find offensive, I believe that there are much better ways to deal with it than the example we see in this thread's first post.

LOL, as I have often said in regard to Styx, paranoia is its own reward. It's a self-fulfilling prophecy.

oh come on now- give me a break!!! you make it seem like Tommy is the only person who ever engaged in "numerous illegal acts". Just about EVERY MAJOR RECORDING ARTIST EVER has done drugs. Do you want a list? Should we start with the beatles, stones, floyd, the who, CSN&Y, James Taylor, Aerosmith, Ozzy, the doors....ELVIS?????

so i take it your record collection only contains music by DDY, Ted Nugent, Donnie & Marie (and that's just a guess... D&M may very well have done drugs).
