Did anyone here make the show. They out priced me but I was wondering how it went.

I went to the concert. This was my 6th Styx concert in the past 4 years.

Tommy looked like he was having a lot of fun. He didn't have much room to move, but I could tell he was really enjoying himself. He was really glad to be playing a full set.

Speaking of a full set.... Styx went on around 8:50 and got done about 10:45. The show was almost 2 hours. Suite Madame Blue was included :D as was Midnight Ride.

Sound was good, harmonies were awesome. Venue was nice, etc

Chuck came to visit.

I have some short videos if you want to see them. Just let me know and I'll post them on Youtube later.

I have

2 minutes of Midnight Ride
Guitar solo of TMTOMH _ a lil more 1:18
Gowan's piano solo
Suite Madame Blue 3:45

Oh yeah, during Come Sail Away, the disco ball was dropped. This added some cool effects.

Overall it was a great concert. I wish I could go back and do it again.

Thanks for the report so what was the whole set? I wish they would take out midnight ride (I know I'm gonna get bashed for that) and put back snowblind or dust off light up or prelude 12 for suite madame blue. If they were to do any extra stuf ffrom equinox that would be my choice.

You can forget about Prelude 12 ever being played live......way too difficult, it took many takes just to get it right for Equinox. It also was JC, not TS or JY.

I seriously doubt Prelude 12 would present any type of challenge for Tommy as he has great 12 string flatpicking chops. Don't get me wrong, I think it's a cool little intruduction for SMB but it isn't an instrumental tour de force.

I agree. I can play it, so it could not be that hard.

My quarrel is with the idea of this lineup doing SMB at all. A DDY signature song. Makes me shiver in disgust. But, apparently, it is one the fans who go see Current Styx enjoy hearing. And, of course, it is some marginalized what's-his-name that wrote it, so go for it!
