Seeing Shaw Blades Again/Ticketmaster rant

So as good fortune would have it, I'll be in Chicago for work on the 16th when Shaw Blades is playing Joe's again. I was able to change my flight to leave Saturday instead of Friday.

I just ordered my $20 ticket from Ticketmaster ... which cost me nearly $36 when all was said and done. Now, I'm not *that* upset since under $40 is cheap for a show, but to pay nearly 100% of the ticket cost in fees is ridiculous.

after being at that venue last time, I have opted to pick mine up at the door. Can't see paying those fees if I don't have to.

I thought about it - I mean being there last time clearly I could have walked up to the door and bought a ticket. But I just don't want to chance it for whatever reason ...

I hope the audience isn't as assholish.
