Who cares about setlist length ... effin REO again? lol As I posted on the Journey board, if I never see REO again, it'll be too soon.

I'm glad I caught them on their own a few months back.

REO blows. I don't get why people like them. Actually, their songs are okay, but Cronin's voice- God, that's some awful stuff.

Amen to that one! I have ALWAYS hated Kevin's voice. To his credit, he sounds just about like he always did. I just don't like it.

I'm glad I'm not the only one disappointed in this tour. SOOOO sick of REO and I really don't care much for Def Leppard anymore. What ever happened to the Heart rumors...how about the New Cars? Collective Soul? ANYTHING but this same old, same old. :(

It's a huge freakin' merry go round. It's like every major AOR/Melodic Rock band has an obligation to tour with every other one at least twice. Mix it up already, guys!

I dunno Sterling, KC is a good singer/songwriter, I just wish he'd STFU at concerts and just sing. After seeing about 40 REO shows I get tired of his lame ass stories. Shit, he could fit in 8 more songs in if he just left out a couple stories.

Is there anything more personal than someone's taste in vocalists? Just like I know there are many people who DON'T particularly care for Dennis' voice, even though I think he's one of the greatest singers of his generation, there are pleny of singers that I know are talented, and yet I don't care for them. Kevin is one of them. Now, that doesn't mean he can't sing. In his case, Kevin can sing in tune and can pull off the songs; he doesn't have to rely on programs and such like so many of today's true non-singers do. So I applaud him for that, but at the same time, he pulls the songs off in a voice that I just haven't ever liked. I agree he's a good songwriter, too.

Heart would've been fantastic. They could certainly use a shot in the arm, however, Jupiter's Darling wasn't much to write home about...
They're a kick ass band and you don't hear them enough.

I don't disagree at all Sterling. I was just saying Hi and poking fun at Kevin's expense. I know I'm in the minority pretty much when I say I don't like Jim Morrison or the Doors. To me, almost every song sounds the same.

Used to LOVE The Doors, then I got sober. I agree, Rowdy. I find them dull and redundant. Maybe 3 or 4 songs I like, but that's about it.

Lunch was lunch. lol

I'm right there with you. Never understood the fascination with Morrison. They would be even more of a shit band if they'd been sober! lol!

Count me as another that just doesn't get the appeal of The Doors. I suppose to each his own, but I just never got it with them.

I am not a huge doors fan, but Touch Me is a great song, I like it better than Light My fire. I compare the doors to the Mammas and the Pappas. A few good tunes, not a huge catalog.

Having turned woooooooooos into dooooooors.
I never owned a Doors album.
But when i hear them I like them.
Nobody sounded/s like them.
So ehhhh.
Well,yes I like them.
Never saw them live when ole Jimmy was around.
Saw them a few years back with whatsisfacefromthecultianashbury, and I thought it was excellent.
Ofcource he was nowhere near as good as Dennis or Suzette for that matter.
But his hair was nice and short, which always count for something around hear.
Jesus loves you ,but everybody else thinks you're a knob.

ok- i was a huge doors fan at age 14-15. I can understand why folks don't like them... the organ sound tends to be a bit grating after a while, but they also hold a special place in my heart along with Styx.

favorite songs:
Peace Frog (funky as all hell)
Not to Touch the Earth
20th Century Fox
Crystal Ship
Alabama Song (whiskey bar)
People are Strange
Break on Through (hell... the first album is brilliant start to finish)
the Soft Parade
The End
Strange Days
End of the Night
Spanish Caravan
Waiting for the Sun
Hello I love you
Love Her Madly
The WASP
Riders on the Storm

for the record, i CAN'T STAND Touch Me. it makes me gag almost as much as Babe. ;) just my opinion....

wow... what a trip down memory lane. i think the doors were the band i got into right after styx. loved the movie, thought val kilmer was brilliant. loved how stone incorporated practically every doors song ever recorded into the soundtrack! :D
