The legendary rock band Styx will perform at this year’s Insight Fiesta Bowl Block Party in downtown Tempe.

The band, formed in the 70s, is known for such hits as “Lady,” “Come Sail Away," "Renegade," and "Too Much Time on My Hands."

Those hits are sure to be played at the Insight Fiesta Bowl Block Party, which has become Arizona's top New Year's Eve destination with over 100,000 party-goers in annual attendance.

In addition to this year's performance by Styx, there will also be 40 local bands on 11 stages, along with beer gardens, freestyle motor cross jumpers, dueling pianos, street performers, fireworks displays and a midnight countdown drop.

This year's Block Party will begin at 5:00 p.m. and go until 1:00 a.m. with Styx scheduled to perform at 11:15 p.m.

Tickets for the Block Party can be purchased for $20 through the Fiesta Bowl ticket office and at the event gate.

Hopefully BYU goes undefeated and ends up at the Fiesta Bowl so I can go. I have been to this party a couple of times. The last time Smashmouth played. Good band but that night they thought they were a Van Halen cover band. I'm serious, they played several Van Halen songs. The singer was wasted from the beginning and frankly they weren't on their game.
