Classic Rock Mag July issue 100 Years review.

8 * out of 10.

If the romantic pastel shades on the cover of D's 6th solo studio release appear familiar,it's probably because they were drawn by Robert Addison, who also did the artwork for Paradise Theatre ,almost 3 decades ago.
But the parallels run far deeper, for 100years is the first real rock album that D has made since submerging himself in Broadway productions during the mid 90s and acrimonious departure from Styx at the end of that decade.
Now into his 60s,the singer/keyboard player/producer has lost none of his bite, and while Turn off CNN,Onehundred and I don't believe in anything match their cynical sounding titles to pass acidic comment upon the internet, global warming,24 hour rolling news and terroism,D remains a master tunesmith.Better still, the overblown weightiness of Crossing the Rube turns back the clock to his pomp-rock sci-fi peak.

Can't wait for the Rolling Stoned review. Wait I have it for you...

"Styx former singer, Pomp rock, arena rock, no rap artist producing or playing on record. No Bruce Springsteen either. Without listening to any tracks on the CD we give it a 0.5 out of 10. Isn't Obama great, everything is still Bush's fault".

No argument here!

;)
NO. He's NOT Steve F'ing Perry. But he's Arnel F'ing Pineda and I'm okay with that.

Make sure you pick up a recent copy of RS. Either Gore or Obama will be on the cover.
