Question about the Styx mini-lps

There was a topic a long time back about the Japanese re-releases of the A&M records, and I have a couple questions about them, since I have an interest in buying them.

1. Are they supposed to be higher quality than previous CD releases?
2. Has anyone on here actually bought them? What do you think of them?

The release of The Beatles remasters is pretty much the reason I remembered these releases, and now I want to get them. I'd jump right in and get them without question, but they go for $30.00+ on ebay, so I just wanted to make sure that they were good.

Search for the existing thread on them. I have them including the promo box only issued at Disk Union. I like them. All but PT and Cornerstone are new remaster jobs (those are the same as the Japanese 1993 re-releases of those albums). The packaging is amazing. Whether you like the remasters is subjective.
