Well without Jimi Hendrix, the guitar sound that everyone associates with "rock" wouldn't exist. I would think its really hard to overrate that. You might not like "Purple Haze" but it birthed a huge chunk of what would become 70s, 80s, and 90s rock - and that includes JY and Tommy Shaw - and to some extent, the prog rock keyboardist who approached the keyboard the same way Jimi Hendrix approached the guitar - which would include Dennis Deyoung.

Good point, but I think there's just as many people that took Clapton's and Page's sound in their music, as well as Hendrix's.

"Yeah, they really suck. The only thing good in this world is Damn Yankees and new Styx. The Beatles, Stones, U2, Zeppelin, and ESPECIALLY Asia all pale in comparison to the awe inspiring wisdom of a good JY song!"

Ha, maybe its not to late, Ringo and Paul can reunite and do new Styx cover songs, maybe a remake of a remake I am the Walrus...

The Stones are the most over-rated band of all time. The Beatles had more talent, but they are not gods gift to music like we were all told to believe. And I think since it's been 30 years since they broke up it's time to stop playing Zeppelin every 45 minutes on every goddamn rock station in America! KFox in San Jose plays them twice a friggin hour.

And I'm sorry, but I only want another Styx Album if Dennis, Tommy and JY create one TOGETHER in the SAME studio in Chicago. And not at Dennis' friggin house! And JY will have to be kept at a distance from Dennis so he doesn't try to kill him!
