No, the ideal situation and I think the most plausible would be a Ted Nugent/STYX/Night Ranger/Damn Yankees tour.

Wow! That would be like watching Ted Nugent then the same band 3 different times!

That type of tour would be the only way I see current Styx again. Would like to see Night Ranger - haven't seen them since they opened for Kansas in the late 80s. I'd like to see a DY show as well. Of course, the weakest link in that lineup has to be Styx - the other bands all have their classic lineups in tact.

The scenarios sound great and would be an awesome show, but...depending on how extensive the touring schedule, how do/can you expect Jack and Tommy to hold up and deliver night after night after night? I'm not saying they're not that good enough, I'm just thinking in a realistic sense and for the sake of their health.

They are each doing well under 3 hours and both night Ranger & Styx have other front men.


They are both on stage for app 2.5 hours.

It would be:

Bad English
GTR
Damn Yankees
Psuedo-Styx (since they're pretty much a supergroup now anyways)

Of course, I can't imagine Steve Howe agreeing to this, so you can probably cross off GTR.

I believe that Steve Howe not the ex coked out baseball player, but the other Steve Howe ( Bad Company??) fronted them.

"When The Heart Rules the Mind' and some other song were both top 40 and excellent songs.

Steve Howe of Yes/Asia was their guitarist (and, mind you, the greatest guitarist of all time). Their singer was a guy named Max Bacon who sounded a lot like Dennis Deyoung!!

If I rememmber correctly they tried to arrange something like this but it fell apart over who received/deserved headliner status and money between Styx and Nugent. No way Night Ranger would be given more time then Nugent. If it were to happen the best you could hope for would be

Night Ranger 45 Minutes
Nugeent 70 Minutes (with Jack and Tommy coming on to do the Damn Yankees Hits)
Styx 70 minutes
and Styx and Nugent would rotate the colsing spot

but I really think a Damn Yankees reunion tour is much more likely
