You're wrong. They did call out his 'crazy ideas'. The problem is it was the loony tunes who did it and made McCain look horrible. The truth seems to be that Republicans can't seem to have a discussion about anything without talking crazy shit like birth certificates and that he's a Muslim. Normal people saw that for BS that it was and discredited EVERYTHING to come out of McCain's, or Republicans in general. i think there is a great danger of that happening again this year...but that's a ways away.
