T.O. Justin Bieber

Postby yogi » Mon Nov 08, 2010 11:47 pm

At Stub Hub (legal scalpers) prices (just under $500.00) our family went and saw Justin Bieber Saturday Night at the Toyota Center in Houston. We have seen other teen sensations?? in the past few years. Taylor Swift was pretty good, Mylie Cyrus very good & The Jonas Brothers EXCELLENT EXCELLENT musicians. Here is my lowdown on Justin( cant tell my daughter)

He is AWEFUL. He flat out cant sing. I have never been to a concert where the singer cant sing and he sounds NOTHING like he does on his albums. Maybe he was sick, maybe his voice is starting to change, I do not know but it was painful watching him perform. The ONLY thing worse then watching him attempt to sing was his attempt to play the guitar. On one of his songs they had him floating through the arena on some heart shape balloon type contraption as he attempted to play guitar. He was just winding up and strumming. He looked EXACTLY like I would look if I ever attempted to play guitar. Then at the conclusion of the song he apologized to the auidence stating that there was something wrong with the guitar. What was wrong was they forgot to unmike him like they did in some of his songs. On his song 'That Could Be Me' he was singing away but nothing was coming out. he was unmiked at least 3 times. Those were by far his best sung songs of the evening.

To top it off his 'show''video effects' was home movies where you got to watch him grow up. In one instance we got to hear him sing the the alaphabet all the way through. They were the kind of home movies that I would show if I never wanted someone to step foot in my house again.

He TRULY was the worst performer that I think I will ever see. Usher discovered him, and Ophra loves Usher. He has totally been made and enhanced by the media and music industry. One thing he can do is play the drums'a little'

While an act like The Jonas Brothers is TRULY a GREAT act and would be in ANY era. Justin was painful. What might be even more painful is that he has a big screen 3D movie coming out in February.

My daughter cant wait to see it, as she has just seen 'the BEST concert in her life. The BEST concert she will ever see'.

Go figure... I wonder if people who loved the rock of the 60's think that way about Styx???

This is my review of Justin. You cant tell my daughter of it cause like the media & music industry states 'he is GREAT'??

Wow, Yogi ...sorry to hear it was that bad.
This isn't the first time that I've heard a not so great review!!
What alarms me is that you think TS was ok, compared to Justin?!?!

You know, I think the Jonas Bros are like Hanson...
Hanson could really play and sing and write. But they were squeezed into that MMMBOP thing and that's all THEIR RECORD COMPANY wanted out of them.

There's a Youtube video series about Hanson doing one of their albums. Their record company is clearly not interested, so the band actually films themselves quitting the record company and going it on their own. Talented little bastards, seriously. I have zero problem with Hanson or other "teen acts" (they're men now) that can actually play. Regarding Taylor- if she'd ditch the AutoTune, I'd have a lot more respect for her.
NO. He's NOT Steve F'ing Perry. But he's Arnel F'ing Pineda and I'm okay with that.

In regards to the Jonas Brothers they have Disney backing them. Thats pretty powerful.

They are REALLY good & talanted musicians. I believe that they will have MAJOR staying power. As I stated they would have been HUGE stars in ANY era.

Mylie is also very good although she is pretty much just a singer while the Jonas Brothers are TRUE musicians.

Justin is just a TOTAL media darling and fabrication. Outside of some decent drum playing and dancing he was AWEFUL. I forgot he can dance( so can some bears).

What he cant do is sing or play guitar.

Drive by some junior high playground pick any kid and that kid would be as good. He was THAT BAD!!!

One thing about Jonas Bros and Hanson- both of them have used songs by a guy named Bleu (writer) who is excellent. Check out his stuff at Bleutopia.com. Great writer and singer.

Besides both groups displaying a TREMENDOUS amount of talent, what The Jonas Brothers have that Hanson never did is DISNEY.

Thats HUGE!!

Hell even today, right now, if Disney gets behind Christopher Cross he hits it BIG again!!

Disney IS entertainment. In almost all cases they are a pretty good judge of talent.

You are, indeed, a good Dad, Yogi.

I think about the massive popularity of Bieber right now and wonder what life will hold for him 10, 20, 30 years down the road. David Cassidy has tried to hold on to just a shred of what he once was, which was, of course, exactly what Bieber is today. He hasn't done so well, though.

It is sad that the very talented Hanson's have been relegated to minor status right now. Once Disney cuts the Jo Bros loose, that will likely happen to them.

Not very many of them make that transition to adult stardom, that is for sure.

David Cassidy could sing and play the guitar. This kid can NOT do either. I mean he flat out could NOT do either Saturday night.

ANYBODY could have sung and played a guitar as well as he did.
