Tommy and Dennis should tour a show called "AcouSTYX" that features acoustic Styx songs and power ballads....You would get most of the hits (with the exception of Miss America, Blue Collar Man, TMTOMH, and Renegade - unless you did them acoustically - which could be cool) and some sleepers.

They could give you a set list that felt something like this
Lady
Crystal Ball
Foolin Yourself
CSA (acoustic guitars)
Sing For The Day
Pieces of Eight
Boat On The River
Babe
Lights
Never Say Never
First Time ?!?!?!?!?!?
Best Of Times
She Cares ?!?!?!?!?
Haven't We Been Here Before
Just Get Through This Night
Don't Let It End
Show Me The Way
Love At First Sight
All In A Day's Work (special guest Glen!)
Dear John

Dennis's band did Too Much time On My Hands acoustically and it came off very well. I think they did Renegade as well.

Justin Bieber has a big screen movie coming out soon. It is titled Justin Bieber ' Never Say Never'. When we saw him recently in Houston part of his stage show was plugging his upcoming movie. When they were showing clips of it Styx's 'Never Say Never' was playing in the background. I also heard that he either remade this song or Styx's version will be in the movie.

"remade this song"

oh

dear

God
NO. He's NOT Steve F'ing Perry. But he's Arnel F'ing Pineda and I'm okay with that.

What's the problem? STYX remade all there songs and you say the did not destroy anything,
Now Bieber does it and you say oh dear God. Which is it?

One or two accoustic songs are great. An entire concert would get pretty boring.

This might work if the seating is all comfortable love seats and you're serving a nice Pinot.

Justin Beiber giving props to Styx or promoting his music to a new generation of fans can only mean good things. Regardless of what you think of him.

I guess in your mind that music can't be good unless it has power chords and metal influnce. Give me a break. Here is a clue for you pal. Good music is good music. Maybe your maturity level will grow to a point to where you can appreciate that. In the meantime, go listen to some Winger and rock out dude!

Haven't seen it so I shouldn't judge. I may enjoy it in a lounge setting, theater or performing arts center. Padded chairs being the theme.

Good music is good music. Again, if your taste in music requires everything is cheesy metal then that is your thing. Maybe someday, you'll have the maturity to appreciate things without leather and hard rock. But then again, some of the fans that permeate this forum...I highly doubt it....

Just a slight overreaction.

I was actually serious about not judging whether it was good or not since I hadn't heard it.

But, since being provoked, I don't like leather, don't like cheesy metal. Do like soaring harmonies, rockin' melodic guitar licks, and kick ass drums. I like to stand at a rock n roll show with a cold glass of beer in one hand and my arm around my wife with the other. I like to sit and be comfortable listening to accoustic and easy listening music, sipping a nice "mature" glass of Pinot Noir.

If he pulled out Roboto, they'd be even better. That song sounds ridiculous unplugged... AND plugged for that matter.

I wish he would pull that song from all of his set lists. It just does not come off very well Live compared to the studio version. Just my opinion. I don't hate the song though.
