Speed it up from a 45 to a 78. Then it goes from being a JY interview to a Gowan interview. Makes it much more interesting knowing that Gowan was there in Styx and selling out Wimbley by themselves in 1981.

Sounds like the UK loves Styx and their 45 minute show.

No wonder why we all defected over here!!!

I agree. This was about as interesting and fun as a root canal. He was excited to play a sold out crowd at Wembley. It's not because Styx was there. Bet JY thought it was though.

Now now, he did admit that he knows that it takes a multiple bill act of their genre to sell out that place. Not defending him, but I'm sure it's pretty humbling being the opening band no matter what the arrangement.

I am sure he is used to being the opening act by now. After all, that's what they get quite a bit. Funny, it's like Styx has come full circle. They started out as an opening act and now they seem to be going out as a opening act. 8)

I don't either, just saying he is like JY (yes JY) keeps saying the same thing over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over..........................................................................

It's actually pretty sad. If DDY were in the band there is no way they'd be the opening act. I'm not saying they'd headline everywhere or that the attendance of their shows would be like 96-97, but it sure would be a hell of a lot better then what they're doing now. It just sucks.

I think that some have under estimated the effect of DDY's absence from Styx has had. I don't mean effected in a good sense. Those that were not found of diversity in Styx's music may not care but, I contend that Styx was a band with diverse musical styles and not a "one trick pony".
