I like Gowan just fine. Prefer Dennis, but that ain't happening.

So yet again, no new studio songs from the "Greatest Line up Ever."

No new music from DDY.

No interest/ability/record label to distribute any possible new music.

DDY camp -vs- Nu Styx camp.

Same songs played over and over and over again with a medley mixed in.

No Roboto/Babe/Rockin' the Paradise/Best of Times live anymore... Unless it's Japan or someone cuts a check or Dennis redoes it and puts it in a commercial.

JY will bash Roboto, but still does the guitar intro to tease the audience.

What are you blabbing about? When was the last time Styx even performed the medley. I think they dropped that years ago.

And, despite what Boom Boom and others say, I don't think anybody really misses those songs from Styx.

Finally, Dennis DOES perform those songs...the only way you can't hear them live is if you are deaf.

Why do people like you come to troll this forum? If you are going to do that, at least know what you are talking about....cuz those are some very ignorant statements you just made.

That looks like it was recorded in Japan. Does Japan have states?

Interesting... it makes perfect sense to me. It seems that it's beyond your capability of understanding. It's certainly not the first time this has happened... it won't be the last either. I foresee the same type of response you spew time and time again to this post. Surprise us... say something different.

They opened their 2010 United In Rock shows with the Borrowed Time medley (Borrowed Time, Rockin' The Paradise, Mr. Roboto, Superstars, Pieces of Eight, More Borrowed Time- may have left a few out too)

So last year they were doing the medley

He does a decent number of songs per show, but looks like the majority goes to Tommy, still. And Larry certainly isn't calling the shots... why are people suddenly referring to him as "the front man" of Styx? He replaced the former front man, to be sure... but isn't that really Tommy's position these days?

I know, or referred to as lead singer. Gowan IS a hired gun brought on to fill a vacancy. He is NOT a front man or lead singer. He is a keyboardist and vocalist. You are right when you say that Tommy is the front man or lead singer.

If he is a 'hired gun', then why does he talk about being a part of the "Democracy" of Styx. If he is just an employee, I wouldn't think he has a vote.

Whether you like it or not, he IS a lead singer...That is just a fact. I don't see how anybody can deny that.

Styx has never had one true 'frontman'. Calling Dennis the frontman is a farce because he spent so much time behind the keys and others take the lead on so many songs.

Styx has shared the 'frontman' duties between the three lead singers. JY and Gowan take on that role less often...but it is a shared duty.

Unless it has changed, everyone in Styx but Tommy and JY are contract players and not members. There is no real "democracy" in Styx. There used to be a five-way vote in the distant past. Now, Tommy and JY decide what is going to happen and present the schedule to the others. The other guys get paid to show up and do it. Just like every other classic rock band with replacements. Why on earth would they make them equal members? That would be utterly stupid on their part.

None of which is a shot at anyone. Those guys earn good money doing a gig they like. What do they have to complain about in the grand scheme of things?

You can bet your last dollar that JY and Tommy are never going to make any changes that will put someone other then them in the drivers seat with ultimate control over everything Styx. I wouldn't have been surprised if they kicked Chuck's ass to the curb. Then again they needed him to make it possible to do what they did and stab Dennis in the back at the same time. Thanks Chuck, no matter what you'll get what's coming to you.

Monker, the only troll here is you (I've seen your yearbook pic, I know).

They did the Medley LAST year dipshit. Aside from that, EVERY single statement I made was absolutely spot on.

The only ignorant statements are yours. Glad to see you only exist here to argue with people. Yet another constant on this board. How's that Iowa High School Debate 3rd place trophy serving you in the real world?

Your post implied that they are STILL doing the medley...which they are NOT. The FACT is you want on about for most of your post. You didn't know they stopped performing it and are just completely ignorant about what you are talking about.

NOTHING you said was "spot on"...everything was totally in lala land. You are just here to troll.
