I had to think about what recod release you were talking about.

Didn't order it. I have all those songs on the original albums and they still sound great.

I used to hear something about a new song or album on the Loop or WMET in Chicago. Also would drive by Pumpkin Studeo and see when they were recording and knew the new album was a month or 2 away. I remember hearing POE, CS, and KWH, all the way through on the radio a week before they were released.

Back in the Dark Ages, I relied pretty much just on what the DJs on the radio said, as to when new records were coming out. In the Cleveland area, we had a local newspaper called Scene that was free in record stores (and oh, how I miss record stores!), and release dates would be listed there sometimes. As far as Styx was concerned, during the 70s, they always released albums in the fall, so come September, I'd haunt the stores until I finally saw the album in the racks. Also, my Dad belonged to the Columbia Record & Tape Club, and they would have new releases, as well. Sometimes even before they were in the stores. Often, the wait for new releases seemed interminable. At least, back then, artists released a new record every year, so I always knew there would be something new each year.
Sometimes it makes no sense at all.

It was REALLY hard to get info on Styx back in the 70's and 80's. Tower Records used to have a list that showed upcoming releases a few months in advance. I lived in California, but I do remember calling Pumpkin Studios a few times in the 80's to ask if Styx was in there working on a new album! I actually got a Yes response one time!

WOW, so the production was so low budget for this release you have to sync the cd audio to the DVD. 8)
