Just Get Through This Night is a great song and it really sucks that they won't do it live. This is a loss. Double Life is a cool song too; actually a lot better than Miss America.

I would like to see data to back that one up. Sorry, but your auntie I don't think quite cuts it as an example of the majority.

In JY's mind it does. But he's pretty much a one trick pony.

I saw it live in '09. They recently played boat on the river on the ice skaiting show thing they did a month or so ago.

When's the last time they played Half Penny, Two Penny? That's a "rockin" song isn't it? Not to mention off their only #1 album.

Even though it went #1, they've conveniently forgotten about that album.

They ALWAYS play Too Much Time On My Hands and very often they play Snowblind. Both are off Paradise Theatre.

And they don't play Rockin' The Paradise (#8 rock chart, 1981), Best of Times (#3 Pop chart, 1981)....

The Dennis fans are just tired of the revisionist history like putting Ricky's and Gowan's picture on the supposedly "retro" Paradise Theater concert shirts and ignoring 1/2 their hit records. It's a load of crap.

They put their picture on shirts because they are in Styx and DDY is not ........ When Sammy Hagar was in Van Halen did they still include pictures of David Lee Roth on the bands shirts ?
Maybe when the next DDY shirt comes out about the concert being DDY and the music of Styx Tommy and JY's picture will nestle nicely alongside Dennis's ....

Well, the Brits have never been known for their intelligence....

Its a retro Paradise Theater concert shirt - from 1981. It even has 1981 on it. Were Rickly and Gowan and Todd in the band then? Then why would they be on a retro concert shirt from that era?

Does Journey sell Escape retro concert T Shirts with Pineda et. all on it? Don't think so...

I don't remember seeing a VH 1984 Tour t-shirt with Sammy featured on it or any other VH retro tour shirt with Sammy's picture in place of DLR where Sammy wasn't in VH at the time. I wouldn't expect the current Styx to feature a current band or current tour shirt to feature Dennis' picture on it. But to put out a retro tour shirt celebrating that era and putting pictures of people who weren't even involved with the music nor the tour itself is just silly.

You know if you go to the democratic page on amazon.com they completely leave out William Taft. They go from Theodore Roosevelt to Woodrow Wilson with never a mention of President Taft.

Sarcastic no. I think that it is a rockin' song and one of JY's that I like. Always thought it's a good song to perform live and since they are avoiding Dennis' material from PT (sans RTP) it is one they could do.

You know, it's too bad that people can't see that if they put DDY's pic on ANYTHING and sold it that they would probably be sued....so they adjusted. You don't have to agree with it, but they don't need to ask for your permission, and you don't have to buy it.

It's not 'revisionist' history....any more then Dennis was trying to get people to forget his solo career when he hired people to fill in for Tommy and JY so he could perform a Styx show. It's nothing more the people projecting their anger because Styx fired Dennis and moved on without him.
