really that's not all that impressive.....just a standard string break towards the end of a song playing some power chords that could easily be transposed to different positions.....which he did after a few seconds......he did what any decent guitar player should do and all are capable of.

now if the string had broken during the solo and he managed to still keep the "roadmap" in place and play a solo similar to what we all know then that would have been a little more impressive.

nothing against the guy i think he does a great tommy in dennis's band. but just standard stuff to me.

That's just unreal.A broken string.

Sorry Archie.I know it's a bit quiet here.
But to my knowledge Tommy has never broken a string before.

Good for him, does he want a Bozo button for his effort?

I've seen this happen to Tommy. Happened when I saw them on tour for BNW which was the last Styx concert I attended and most likely my very last ever.

Too bad. Your better off seeing them on their own in the spring/fall/winter when they have more time (no pun intended 8) )

They put on a fantastic show.

It's a hell of a lot more interesting than all of those faggish polls

I read an interview years ago in which a broken string happened to Jack Blades during a Damn Yankees concert. The string broke, hit him in the face, and damn near took his eye out. Tommy about had a heart attack. Point is, it happens, and probably has happened, to nearly every guitar player out there.
Sometimes it makes no sense at all.

I'm sure they put on a good show. This line up is just not my cup of tea and that is why I stopped going.

I'm not saying this to make anyone think this isn't cool..'cause it DOES show talent to assimilate to keep the music goin', But this isn't all that impressive to me. He SHOULD'VE been able to do that. I can do that. Happened to me with the same song (and many others), actually.
