Kilroy Was Here:: 30 Years Later

Postby Everett » Tue Feb 19, 2013 6:30 am

30 years ago this month kilroy was released. Sure it's not the greatest
album ever made and the drama behind it didn't help. But the concept was
ahead of it's time and could've worked if everyone was on the same page. It is
at least worth noting this milestone.

The tours supporting this album was the best concert ever. Hands down. Total concept, great execution.

That was my very first concert, so it does hold a special place for me. I still HATE Roboto, though.

So I guess you won't be getting the commemorative Mr. Roboto bobble head that will be coming out? 8)

The tour was their BEST concert EVER hands down!!!

Saw it 4 times including the Texas Jam Show at the Cotton Bowl. Unreal how what REALLY happened was COMPLETELY distorted. Tommy and Cahil should be ashamed of the lies they told. Hey they didnt like the concept having to be actors etc.. thats one thing but to lie about it is another.

I hated the album but LOVED the tour. It was AWESOME!!!!!

ahead of it's time????? you mean a concept about people in control trying to say rock n roll is bad for kids?????????? comer on man......i like the concept as much as anybody but that "message/concept" has been in place every since Elvis came on the scene.

just because DDY set his story up in "the future" with robots doesnt make it ahead of it's time.

I think people make this statement because this was before the PMRC and Tipper Gore's campaign to have rating labels attached to artist's music and trying to censor their "free speech". Also, there was the concept of the negative effect technology could have on society.
