I think this is a good point. Some would have liked Styx to be something that they never were going to be based on the people in the band. Their musical styles were diverse which in my opinion made them unique. It's impossible for a band to please every fan all of the time. Speaking of Rush in the eighties they did start using more synths in their music which turned some fans off and was somewhat of a rub between Alex and Geddy.
