strange that he has an almost exclusive Eagles set list and he sings them poorly.
but not as bad as Foreigner who more than 1/2 the time tours with no original members.

ok couple of things;

if you're don felder and all you ever did was be in the eagles, helped write a few of their important songs, played and performed on almost all of them, never wanted to be out of the eagles, thought your contribution to the eagles was at the same level as other members and therefore wanted to be compensated as such and then got kicked out and has to perform as don felder, who 90% of the public has no idea who that is............what's he supposed to play?

im not commenting on whether he does the songs any justice or how he sings them.....but because of his history I think he certainly has a right to perform them live to help him still make a living.


now on to foreigner;

mick formed the band, wrote the songs and clearly has been the band leader since it's inception. the only other member of that band that ever really mattered was lou.....if you dont believe me lou even admits he pretty much felt that way about the other guys as well.....regrets some of it these days.....but even he saw foreigner as mick and him.

in addition, by the time foreigner 4 came out there had been several band member changes and those changes took place little by little over the first three albums. so there really isnt any super classic original foreigner band like say with kiss. it's always been mick and lou.

for many years lou has been sick and a shawdow of himself and if i were mick i wouldnt want to tour these days with him either.....lou simply couldnt do it and hasnt been able to for a long time. teven his voice was majorly affected.

since mick got the current version of foreigner going they have played everywhere and they are an extraordinary band live. kelly does about as good on the vocals as you could hope anyone could because lou is legendary.

now when mick got sick they did play a while without even him being there......but with 100% his blessing and OK, because mick owns the band and those guys work for him......they cant do it without his blessing.

and let's face it......mick did what i think alot of these bands are gonna do eventually.......kiss has alluded to this and others will follow......there will be a day when we will see "sanctioned" replacement bands that are hand picked by original members to go out and continue the legacy of their music......they will actually call themselves kiss or foreigner or whatever but its coming.

queen already sort of did this with the queen experience but they still are jamming with adam lambert........but you wait and see........there is no doubt this will happen because that music still lives on and there is a demand for it even to this day.....i dont see that dying anytime soon. clasic rock bands are about the only artists that can still draw much of a crowd with the few obvious exceptions.

Once read that Don Felder and Peter Best were trying to form a band. Guess that it went nowhere.
