Dennis puts out a GREAT album supposedly is offered the chance to do another one and we hear zip out of him about it.
JY ( the godfather/ scarecrow) Young to me seems to hold the needle that could stitch the group back together but instead keeps jabbing it in Denny's back.

If he can create and it doesnt cost him a dime why wouldnt he?? He is an artist.Artists are suppose to create things.

Shi t, Styx hit the top 10 in three different decades. There must be only a handful of rock and roll bands that can make that statement. Why on earth they dont want to create new music is a TOTAL mystery to me. Its cheaper now to do it. Hell anyone can, damn near for free and they wont do it.
Styx even comes up with an AWESOME idea for a tour 'Grand Illusion/ Pieces Of Eight back to back and what do they do??? About 5 shows and then go back to their tired worn out greatest hits set where half the songs showcase the guy that they booted out of the band 'cause they want to rock'. What then does Tommy do, he cuts a hillbilly album.............
You must be kidding me.... I couldnt dream this stuff up if I tried

I think you need to take into account that there's no money in releasing albums anymore. Plus, they don't need to make them anymore to earn a very good living. It could just be that aspect of being an artist is not as motivating anymore. Maybe DDY would rather have OYFN be his swan song and doesn't want to release something else that may not do so well. We could speculate till the cows come home. Thing is we really don't know what is running through their minds. Unless the share it with the public. The music industry is a different animal now and that has a lot to do with why artists such as DDY and Styx have chosen to focus their energies on something other then putting out new material.
There was speculation a few years ago (never substantiated) that there was discussion about a "Three Tenors" type of package with DDY and two others (Cetera? Graham?) but it might have just been rumor.

Not a rumor, it was suppose to be DDY, Steve Perry and Peter Cetera. I guess all sides talked about it but the timing didn't work out. I think this was discussed in 2002 or 2003.
