Dennis....NO MORE MANILOW..I want the great DDY back

Its great to see Styx back in the UK for the 1st time since 1981.
They would not tour outside the mainland USA and Canada after that as Dennis DeManilow would not go.....it seems his various illnesses prevented him from flying too....either that or he has not saved enough air miles on his Burdines credit card.

Since DeManilow has not been in Styx they have been to South America, Germany, Holland, Belgium, Mexico and Japan and now at last they hit the UK.

I am not slagging Dennis off as a singer or musician I just as a Styx starved Englishman was pissed that he set the boundaries to where they went and stuff the fans in England.

Tommy, JY, Larry, Todd and Ricky thankyou for finally coming to play for your English fans and Dennis well I know you will never come here again so i had to buy a ticket to see you in Florida in April 2005. But please Dennis do Queen Of Spades instead of that mushy horrid With Every Heartbeat you get more Manilow every time you write and another thing please please dont do Music Time or that horrid Hiphopcrissy song off Brave New World probably the 2 worst songs ever written. I long for when you write songs like Queen Of Spades, Come Sail Away, Castle Walls etc again but i guess ime going to wait a long time eh

I don't think he'll be doing "Queen of Spades" soon, sorry. That's one of the songs I would LOVE to hear live!!! GREAT song!!!

You'll enjoy hearing/seeing him sing "Castle Walls"

He's been flying all over the US promoting his Live cd and PBS appearances. He'll be leaving Sunday for Phoenix for live appearances on the 13th.

I personally enjoy his Hunchback material. I think he has a great variety of music in his concerts. That's just my opinion

Well DarrenUK, you will be getting to see and hear Styx, but you sure won't be getting any of the great classic Styx songs. Just the lesser hits and some covers. but I am glad they are coming your way and you will get to go. A double bill with Kansas should be a terrific show.

You WILL get to hear Suite Madame Blue, Pieces of Eight, Castle Walls and Rockin' the Paradise, very likely, when you go see Dennis. Plus Come Sail Away and The Grand Illusion sung the way they are supposed to be sung.

And just take a break for the Hunchback songs if they are that intolerable, or stay and admire what beautiful songwriting went on there.
