Yogi (Styx) Trivia

Postby SuiteMadameBlue » Sat Dec 18, 2004 8:13 am

Yogi's Questions:

If you know what sport, position, and what night Dennis used to play that sport on.

If you know what sport, and what position John Panozzo used to play.

Finally, if you know what tragedy happened on the same day to the Minnesota Twins(it happened to one of its players, that player has a Chicago connection (clue)) and Styx. Truly, this was one of the worst days of my life as a HUGE fan of both.

I guess this could also be Styx trivia, the last question is a tough one!!!

Okay Yogi, I don't know if I got all of them right.

Dennis used to be on baseball league in Chicago. I forgot to find out what night (LOL). He used to play first base. Side note- I do know that he currently enjoys to watch baseball and football. He's a Bears fan - LOL I was trying to make a Packers vs. Bears bet, but he didn't want to lose and wear a Cheesehead at the next Milwaukee concert - LOL

John Panozzo, was a huge Hockey fan. Sorry, I don't know what position.

Yogi, I know you're a HUGE baseball and Styx fan. The only date I can come up with is July 16, 1996 when John P. died. The only thing in baseball I could find was that the Chicago White Sox beat the Minnesota Twins 11 to 2. Winning Pitcher- Wilson Alvarez Losing Pitcher - Brad Radke. I don't know what else happened in baseball on that day.

Did I get anything right? I'm hoping to make a nice bet with you during the next baseball season. I'll take the Brewers to have a better record than "your" team.

Ahem...there is absolutely nothing positive to be gained by wearing a styrofoam cheesehead. At least he recognizes that

This information comes from The 1978 Main Event Program. In Dennis's bio it states that he( The Doctor) loves Italian food, and has a passion for all American sports. His favorite being baseball, which he still plays on Monday, and Tuesday night during the season when Styx is not on the road. In a different program it is stated that he does in fact play first base.

John Panozzo was a hockey player. His position........ Goalie

Finally, driving home from Beaumont Texas I caught WCCO radio to catch the tail end of the announcement that Kirby Puckett had to retire due to glacoma. I pulled over called my dad and had him tape everything on TV that day. After I watched Kirby's taped retirement announcement numerous times, I happened to flip over to MTV and catch an MTV News segment. That segment stated that Styx drummer John Panozzo had died.

At the time Kirby was by far my favorite baseball player of all time. John was by far my favorite drummer of my favorite group. A TRULY HORRIBLE day!!!!!

Finally, does Milwaukee still have a baseball team?? I thought they folded after Robin Yount and Paul Molitor retired.

I now, FOREVER, hate the Brewers because of Bud ( I REALLY still own the Brewers Seilg) tried to fold up the Twins to boost Milwaukees ticket sales for when they were going to open their new stadium. What a TOTAL joke Bud Seilg is. May the CURSE of The MINNESOTA TWINS haunt the Brewers FOREVER!!!!!!!!!

Interesting Yogi. I forgot about Kirby and the year he retired. What a bad day for you.

Yeah, I know how people feel about Bud, but I like him and what he's done in Milwaukee :)

How about a bet in the Spring?
