I could have private messaged this, but I suspect I'm not the only curious one.....

Darren and Leesa........I'd like to hear the story about how you 2 hooked up in spite of living a few thousand miles away from each other. If I miessed this elsewhere, just indulge me anyways if you dont mind.....I could use the break from some of the repetition here.....

Apart from maybe you running away and leaving me to the mercy of a rattlesnake or the time you walked into a glass screen door in a hotel...lol

Lisa and I did meet online whilst playing online cards around 30 months ago. She made it plain from the offset that we would under no circumstances be any more than just friends (haha) but little did she know that over the next few weeks i had my English charm in place to woo this American beauty.
Gradually we got to know each other more by talking online and by phone and around 8 months later i planned my first of 6 visits to Florida (Lisa has been here once and I even let her drive on the left while she was here, but thats another story..lol)
On my first visit to Florida (April 2003) the time was spent having so much fun and getting to know each other, and our online and telephone relationship progressed naturally. I remember the last day before leaving we went down to the beach and hugged each other whilst playing our fave songs on a boom box (Someday by Glen, All I ever needed by Bobby Kimball and We were friends by the mighty Dare among them).
It was so upsetting to go but I went back in October twice that same year and again in June 2004 where i took her back to the same spot on the beach where we played our songs to get down on one knee and ask her to marry me,and she thankfully said yes after making me wait for what seemed like an hour although it was only a few seconds (BRAT)
We have set a date of October 7th in Sattelite beach Florida for our wedding and I will make her the most cared for looked after and loved woman on this planet as Lisa has restored my faith in the word love after my last relationship. She is beautiful, kind,warm and loving and i am truely honoured to be placing a ring on her finger and making her my wife. We will have so much of a great life together I know it, and I cant wait. I even cut my hair from it being blonde and butt length to stop her mom from getting nervous, and i didnt even need an anasthetic...lol...thats commitment.

Very cool story ! just for a minute I felt that new romance feeling I havent felt in a Looooooooong time. But I'll tell you what, that very comfortable feeling you have when you've been happily married for a long time is a great feeling too.....I hope in about 10 years you both know exactly what I am talking about !

I wonder if we'll all still be here talking about STYX in 10 years ? I hope not, unless they put together some NEW music that is worthy of their name and legacy !

10 more years of who did what to whom in the band would put us all in the funny farm !

Anyways, I'm really happy for the 2 of you....thanks for sharing !
