Dennis DVD Release Information

Postby SuiteMadameBlue » Fri Feb 04, 2005 12:01 am

This is information for those who don't check out Dennis' website every 5 minutes (like me-LOL).

I'm happy about this because I have the videos on tape and they were taped from a tape that was taped from another tape. I'm sure most of you know what I mean when you're trading videos :) My friends will be happy to have this DVD too

If you get a chance, read his letter on the front page (of his website) regarding his videos - LOL

Thanks for that info, Suite. His note is hilarious.

Nice collection, but I wish they had "This Is The Time" on it as well. Can't have everything, though.

I certainly hope this DVD will be easier to find than the Styx collection was --- at least on Amazon. I felt like I WAS trudging through the Amazon to try to find the Styx 20th Century Masters DVD!

I guess Tommy's and JY's solo collections will be out shortly. 8)

I still think Desert Moon is one of the greatest videos of all time. I'd buy the collection for that alone.

Desert Moon would of been one of the GREATEST videos of all time if Dennis would of got off that train carrying a piano on his back. Dennis toting a guitar made NO sense to those of us who knew who the hell he was. I've said this alot, but damn, the piano would of been funny!!!

Instead Dennis tried to be Bruce. Why?? He's MUCH better than the'boss' is anyway. I guess Dennis was just searching for those 'Glory Days'.

Gosh, Yogi. How do I say this? This was a “video”. It wasn’t “real.” Dennis was playing a “representation of a rock star”. The video concept was dreamed up by someone else.
I am sure Dennis’ input consisted of the following:

“A guitar??? Well, ok. Where is my mark?”
“Do you want me to lob the football or put some juice on it?”
“Hey this Miller Light has WATER in it!”
“I am really getting tired of lip-synching in front of this lake, can you guys please get the lighting right?”
And, of course,
“What do ya MEAN I can’t keep the Mustang?? I thought that was part of the deal!”

And, of course, I joke here. Kidding one of the best kidders on this board.

Besides the song & video being about the loss of innocence, I also saw this video as being about friendship.

What says friendship more than helping a good friend lug a piano to where ever his destination is.

If whoever came up with this video would of used a piano instead of a guitar it would still be talked about today as one of the 'Classics' of all time.

Dennis could of even started his Boomchild video with he and his good buddies loading that 'damn piano' up on the airplane. Then the plane takes off, it reaches the desired altitude and they pushed that piano out of the plane. As it breaks into a million pieces the Boomchild song starts!!!

Bevis and Butthead would of had a ball with these!!!!
