I can't relate to your techniques, Monker.
I'm not sure I would call it 'technique'. I'm just very impersonal. I mean, I don't get on here and talk about my family and friends, what I did on the weekend, what happened the last time aliens abducted me, blah, blah, blah. But, at the same time, I let loose my personality.
I've been around too long, and seen too many people be torn up by people who know personal information...You should know that, one tiny pic and now everybody wants to see you in a bathtub! But, for me, since nobody here REALLY knows me, when somebody says, "Monker you're a Jakovasaurus..." I can just brush it off and ignore it, cuz I honestly don't care what they think. Or, I can sink to depths that drive people like Andrew bonkers.
My biggets problem is getting the sarcasm/humor tone to come through the text.
Well, again, it's the attitude. Humor is relative. Some people 'get it', some don't. So, I don't care so much about those who don't. I know 'some' people get it. So, as long as *I* think it's funny, I type it up! It gets me in trouble sometimes...you should see what happens on Journey forums when I start making fun of Steve Perry's nose, LOL.
So, I guess what I am saying is, if you care TOO MUCH about what people may think when you write a post, then you start censoring yourself TOO MUCH and you are not really being you and what you are saying just doesn't come out right.
I'm not much different "live."
You mean everybody wants to see you in a bathtub in real life too?
