OT - Elton John Dream Ticket

I just picked up Elton's DVD Dream Ticket that was available through Best Buy last Christmas and one of the DVD's is just Elton and his Piano. It is incredible. Songs broken down to their basic simplicity.

Wouldn't it be great if Dennis would do a concert like this? He could even dust off that lost Treasure: Goodbye Roseland.

I agree about just Elton and the piano.. "Dream Ticket" is a nice buy, but I wish the disc that reflected on different decades was a bit more comprehensive. Actually, I'm a huge fan of the classic Elton John period; to be honest, even more so than Styx. I enjoy Styx quite a bit, but nothing really compares to some of those images and stories that Elton and Bernie Taupin wrote songs about in the early to mid '70s..

I love early Elton John. "60 Years On" is one of my all-time favorite songs ever.

I agree, NH. What a cool concert that would be, DDY, his voice and piano. Maybe off down the road somewhere, that might happen.

Well, it's not that far-fetched considering it is one of the options listed on the "Booking Information" page of DeYoung's website. Now, THAT I might be willing to fork over some big money for!

Not really much of an Elton fan, but Crocodile Rock and Saturday Night's All Right For Fighting are two of the most catchy tunes I've ever heard!
